About andrew
Andrew is one of the ripe old seasoned veterans of Team Health FX having raced
in his first mountain bike race in 1986 B.S. (before suspension) and probably
before most of his teammates were
riding bikes. He's had a passion for endurance sports and has competed in
running races, triathlons, cross country ski races, and of course road and
mountain bike races. Highlights have included:
- The Denver Marathon
- The Fountain Mountain Triathlon
- The Engadine Ski Marathon
- La Ruta (mountain bike race across Costa Rica)
- several 24 hour mountain bike races.
His renewed interest in racing led him to start racing both on the mountain and road bikes in 2000. Encouraging results followed including podiums in several Mountain States Cup races. Further successes included winning the Ironhorse mountain bike race in his category, winning the Cove Classic race and winning the 35 plus team division in the 24 hours of Moab. Andrew looks forward to continued successes this upcoming season. His highlighted goal events are: Tour of the Gila, Norba National Championship XC race, and to compete in the Trans Rockies Canada race on a 2 man team.
