>

29er PT build close up

A major selling point of the Dos was the dual capability of V or disk brakes. Since the power tap hub still is only available in non-disk versions (what decade is this??), to have a power meter on a sponsor provided bike means I'd have to pony up for a whole new system - an SRM or Ergomo. Either system is getting close to $3k not to mention the crank & chainring size limitations imposed by either one of them...no way jose. Someday there will be a less intrusive power measuring system, until then I'll keep my PT stock. 3 systems and counting...

The wheel build comes courtesy Mike Curiak. The rim is an Open Pro 32H w/ ceramic braking surface. At 420g it's a light rim, the ceramic should help the longevity/durability. The entire system only adds ~ 150g to the bike compared to a Hayes rear disc and AC rear wheel.

29er PT build close up
<media:text type="html">
